Every day I read from a book I bought at St. Thomas More, "Healing Prayers for Every Day." Yes, the book has the Catholic flavor to it but I thought today's devotion is something that everyone would find comfort in--no matter what religious background or what higher being one believes in.

Each daily devotion starts off with a bit of scripture followed by a reflection. The one for today is from Ps. 116:1, "I love the Lord because He has heard my voice and listned to my cry for mercy." The reflection is, "We cannot help but love the Lord Jesus who hears our every prayer and answers them in some way. Sometimes He says, 'Yes,' sometimes, 'Wait,' and sometimes, 'No, I will give you something better.'"

I hope this devotion gives you as much comfort as it gave me and will give me at those times in life when you wonder if you're being heard.
