Molly's Musings is for the random thoughts in life--some really deep, others
very. . . Molly's Musings are meant to get you thinking, laughing or,
preferably, both. If you leave this page feeling offended. . .well, you need to
open up your mind a little and work on your sense of humor now, don't you? :-)
As I've mentioned before, one of my favorite shows is "Grey's Anatomy." Not only
is the show funny, it also makes me think.
A recent episode talked about wanting something and at the end of the episode,
the voice over said, "But as tough as wanting something can be, the people who
suffer the most are those who don't know what they want."
I've been thinking about that, especially I just recently wrote about how one
doesn't always get what they want. There have been times that I didn't know
what I wanted and those times in my life were the most uncomfortable because
anytime I wasn't sure what I wanted, it definitely during a period of
uncertainty in my life. And those periods of uncertainty are tough. How does
one get out of those periods of uncertainty and figure out what they want? I
can only speak from my own experience--I had to stop and acknowledge what was
going on and decide what I needed to be doing differently. In the course of
doing so, I was always able to figure out what I wanted. That's not to say that
I always got what I wanted but at the very least, I had gotten rid of that
uncomfortable uncertainty.
And in thinking about all of this, one of my favorite songs came to mind.

Can you feel it, see it, hear it today?
If you can't, then it doesn't matter anyway
You will never understand it cuz it happens too fast
And it feels so good, it's like walking on glass
It's so cool, it's so hip, it's alright
It's so groovy, it's outta sight
You can touch it, smell it, taste it so sweet
But it makes no difference cuz it knocks you off your feet
You want it all but you can't have it
It's cryin', bleedin', lying on the floor
So you lay down on it and you do it some more
You've got to share it, so you dare it
Then you bare it and you tear it
You want it all but you can't have it
It's in your face but you can't grab it
It's alive, afraid, a lie, a sin
It's magic, it's tragic, it's a loss, it's a win
It's dark, it's moist, it's a bitter pain
It's sad it happened and it's a shame
You want it all but you can't have it
It's in your face but you can't grab it
What is it?
It's it
What is it?...
Until next time.
