Previously on "The L Word". . .
Jenny has a new perm and dreams about laying flowers on Sounder's grave and then a paw reaches out and grabs her. I'm glad to see that she's feeling guilty over how she used that dog. Now if she would start treating her friends better. . .
Tina and Bette talk and Tina tells Bette that she still loves her and misses her sometimes. Tina says she misses being surrounded by women and being a part of soemthing secret and special. She also says that she thinks sometimes that she might have made a mistake. What mistake is she referring to? Giving up working things out with Bette or fooling herself into thinking she's straight?
While they are talking, Jodi stops by and Tina sees Bette and Jodi together. Jodi is actually friendly to Angelica (remember, she can't stand kids) and Angelica is picking up sign language, which Tina thinks is a sign that Jodi spends a lot of time there.
Paige tells Shane that Shane's not the first woman she's been with. Shane tells Paige that she's not the first straight woman she's been with but Paige doesn't like to be called straight--says she's sexually fluid. Shane thinks that she (Shane) is emotionally retarded. Paige disagrees and says she's seen how Shane is with Shay. Shane says that's different.
Bette tells Jodi that she's so into her but can't handle Jodi seeing other people. She says that the thought of Jodi with other people makes her jealous and that she's not as "evolved" as Jodi. Okay, so does being "evolved" mean that monogamy is out the window? Sorry, I'd rather not be "evolved."
Helena's living the high life on Katherine's dime and Alice questions Helena on Katherine's motives. Katherine shows back up at the hotel earlier than Helena thought and tries to order Alice into saying and watching Helena's kids. Helena tells Katherine that she wasn't expecting her back so soon and wondered if her kids being there would be a problem but Katherine says there's plenty of room for Helena's "brats." This Katherine is striking me as a psycho and someone Jenny should be hooking up with.
Helena and Katherine hustle guys for money at poker games. Katherine knows who to target and Helena goes and plays cards against the guy and during the card game, Katherine comes over and shares a steamy moment with Helena in front of the guy, giving him hope that there's a possibility for him to join and he folds and Helena wins money. After they're finished playing and go back to the hotel room, Helena wants to chack in on her kids but Katherine won't let her (control freak) and they do the deed in a pile of money.
Shane and Paige have plans to go to the Planet for Kit's record release party and Paige brings over a babysitter who was dressed a little on the funky side. It was funny seeing Shane concerned about whether or not it was okay to leave the kids with the babysitter. They get to the Planet early and have time to kill so they do the deed in the car.
At the record party, Tina tells Bette that she seems crazy about Jodi and says that Bette used to look at her that way and asks where Jodi's at. Bette says that Jodi's not there because she's deaf (she's actually out on a date with someone else). Bette asks Tina where Henry's at and Tina says he's clueless. Bette starts to tell Tina the truth about the situation with her and Jodi when Jenny appears.
Jenny informs Tina that her agents are there and that Tina needs to talk to them if she wants to have a chance to win the bidding war. Bette jumps in and asks Jenny why she doesn't automatically award the rights to Tina's company because Tina ia a friend. Jenny questions Bette and asks if Bette would hire her for a job at the school because they're friends and Bette says she would if she was the dean of the English department. Tina tells Bette that's one of the reasons why she loves her--because Bette is loyal and unwavering in her convictions. While talking to Jenny's agents, Jenny rolls her eyes when Tina's qualifications are discussed and Bette jumps in to point out stuff that her agents obviously didn't know.
Tasha and Alice join Tina, Bette, Jenny, and Jenny's agents. Max and a newly hired intern for the chart stop by and the intern is wearing an anti-war t-shirt. The conversation turns to the war and it's obvious that everyone is anti-war and it pisses off Tasha and Alice realizes it.
Kit and Angus get on stage to do their duet and right in the middle, Kit starts cussing out Angus for cheating on her and walks off the stage and into her office where she takes a drink (she's a recoverd alcoholic). She doesn't want to talk to Angus and tells Bette to f-off and is upset because it appears to her that Bette protected Angus. She says she's done with men and goes off with Papi.
Tasha and Alice get into a huge debate over the war and Alice invites Tasha into her place so they can continue talking. The exhange of opinions gets heated and Tasha wonders why the "f" she's there and Alice responds, "Because they want to "f" each other." and they do the deed. It was funny that Alice tried injecting her opinions during and Tasha told her to shut up.
Kit and Papi go dancing and Kit gets really drunk. They go back to Papi's place where Kit passes out. The next morning Kit doesn't remember anything but is disapointed to learn that she did not make it on the chart.
Shane hosts Shay's classmates and their parents at the skate board shop. Shane talks to a realtor about getting a bigger house. Then Shane's dad shows up. . .
Next week: Bette sees Jodi with another girl on campus. Kit is at Papi's and sees another side of her. Phyllis' husband drops by Alice's. Shane's dad wants Shay back.
