Episode 11

rainbow_thinline (2K)

Previously on "The L Word". . .

Kit and Papi are together, in bed, and Kit realizes that's not a lesbian as Papi just isn't doing it for her. A much needed blow to Papi's over-inflated ego.

Alice talks to Tasha about going on a trip to Mexico. Tash's concerned about the money but Alice tells her that she's got herself a sugar daddy. Apparently Alice's web site is going to go live on May 1st so I'm guessing that there will be some enhancements launched on OurChart.com. While they are talking, Alice starts walking and a car races down the street and Tasha pulls Alice out of the way--and has an Iraq flashback.

Angus asks Kit if she's involved with Papi and says she's so not a lesbian. He points out that if Papi really cared about Kit, that she wouldn't let her drink. Kit's tired of everyone getting into her business.

Bette senses that people are talking about her around campus and Phyllis stops by her office to tell her that Jodi is leaving and asks her about the character, Bev, in "Lez Girls." Bette decides it's time to read the book and asks her assistant to get her a copy--a "comp" copy because she doesn't want to pay for it.

Max finds out that he's been replaced on a project at work. His boss says it's because he took a vacation at a crucial time--it doesn't matter to him that said "vacation" was so that Max could go to his mother's funeral. Max leaves the meeting and goes and calls Alice and talks about how much he'll make working full-time for Alice and goes back to the meeting and quits. And does it with much more grace and dignity than I probably would have if I was in that situation.

Tasha gets called into her CO's office and gets talked to about her sexual orientation. Her boss says that he doesn't want the subject to ever come up again and that if it does, then he'll be forced to take action.

Alice and Shane get onto Helena about how how Katherine is telling her what to do and how she's setting her up. During the shopping, Helena receives a phone call from Katherine and gets told that she needs to move out of the hotel suite so another friend of hers can stay there. This doesn't sit too well with Helena and since it's Katherine's credit card that she's using to buy new earrings, she decides that she'll also charge the watch Alice is buying for Tasha and the purse Shane is buying for Paige on the credit card.

Leonard and Phyllis get into a fight and he accuses her of going through a mid-life crisis with the whole lesbian thing. Later, he brings their daughter into it and she starts in on Phyllis, who isn't happy at all that Leonard told their daughter before she had a chance to.

Tina has lunch with Kate, the producer and Larry, Kate's manager. She gets told that Jenny is incompetent as a screen writer and gets told to fire Jenny.

Shane buys Jerrod a gift and Paige is a bit hurt because her birthday is coming up and she thinks that Shane doesn't remember.

Harry is cutting his toenails in the living room and Tina is grossed out by it (as was I). Kate calls and Harry overhears Tina say that she'd love to go out with her but that she told Harry that she'd spend the evening with him. Later, Tina talks to Harry and tells him that she's not happy and they both realize that there's no relationship to really fix.

Max and Grace get closer and Max freezes when Grace touches him. He says that he doesn't feel comfortable with his body and Grace says that she feels comfortable with it.

Bette is pissed about what Jenny wrote in the book about her. As she was reading it, she was making comments and at one point, said, "I wouldn't say that. That's not even grammatically correct." Bette is definitely back;-)

Alice sets the watch out for Tasha and hides when Tasha comes over. Tasha sees the watch and has another Iraq flasback and leaves. The next day, Alice goes out to base to talk to Tasha, who is upset that she's there, given the talk that she had with her CO, who drives by and sees Tasha talking to Alice.

Bette talks to Tina about the Jodi situation. Tina tells Bette taht she's a control freak. She also told Bette that she's met her match in Jodi and that Bette is running away from Jodi.

Jerrod tells Paige he wants some french fries from the Planet so they go there. It turns out that it's a surprise birthday party for Paige, planned by Shane and one of Paige's favorite bands is playing. Kit is really messed up on drugs and alcohol at the party and asks Angus to take her to a meeting the next day. Jenny, who hasn't been in most of this episode, which made it all the more nicer:-), is watching the lead singer of the band and tells Kate that the singer would be perfect to play Jessie in the movie. Then we see Jenny doing the stalker thing by watching the singer.

Bette goes after Jodi and finds that she's left already and is going to New York.

Tasha shows up at Alice's and tells her why she won't accept the watch and what happened to her friend, Lisa, in Iraq. Then she tells Alice that she's got orders to go back to Iraq in 2 weeks.

Next time: Well, the season is wrapping up as it's the season finale. Max is questioning his decision about havnig surgery. Jenny gets told by Kate that she's more twisted than the characters in her book. Bette tries to contact Jodi. Kate wonders if Tina has feelings for Bette. And it looks like Dana will be giving Alice some advice.
