Episode 9

rainbow_thinline (2K)

Previously, on The L Word. . .

Mark presents his video to the movie producer, who isn't happy with what he sees. Mark's goal is to produce a movie that will be shown at Sundance--the movie producer wants porn and Mark is under contract to the producer to deliver porn.

Tina wakes up hearing Helena ranting. I think she has a Bette flashback and pretends to go back to sleep. Helena isn't happy that Bette is going with Tina for her ultrasound.

Dana and Alice go sex toy shopping but wind up buying nothing. Dana goes back by herself later and makes a purchase.

Jenny gets the job writing the book for Burr. Two weeks in a row now with no Jenny writing scene--perhaps the writers realized that it wasn't working?

Tina and Bette hook up after the ultrasound appointment. Afterwards, Tina tells Bette that it doesn't mean that they're back together.

Shane and Carmen talk. Shane tells her that it's hard to be around her and Jenny. Carmen says that her and Jenny are both biding their time until the real deal comes along. Carmen says that her and Shane know that the real deal is--that they knew it the first time they laid eyes on each other. Shane nods in agreeement--and Mark is getting all of it on tape.

Helena goes over to Tina's and Tina starts acting a little "crazy" (okay, I hate using that word but she wasn't acting like herself and it could have been her hormones going crazy--I haven't been around any pregnant women long enough to know). Helena's not liking it because Tina is acting aggressive when they start kissing. Tina calls Helena out on it--says that Helena has to be in control and likes to have an audience. Tina gets upset--wants Helena to stay but she leaves.

Bette's in therapy and the therapist asks her if she wants to get back together with Tina. She hesitates in answering and says that she doesn't know. Bette notices differences in Tina and thinks that Tina doesn't need her anymore because Tina is stronger.

Jenny walks into Mark's and starts snooping around and sees the conversation between Shane and Carmen. Later, she goes to Burr's house (the actor whose book she's going to write) and cries on his shoulder and he winds up coming out to her.

Tina and Helena make up--after Tina lays out the ground rules for Helena (i.e. making comments about her hormones being out of control because she's pregnant is off limits). Helena makes dinner for Tina and shows her that she's had a room made up in the house for her and the baby. Meanwhile, Bette is working on a nursery for the baby at her house.

Kit's get together with Benjamin falls through and she winds up going to an AA meeting and seeing Isaac. Her and Isaac go to a club afterwards and Kit learns that Isaac has been in a relationship for 5 years--during the time that Isaac was trying to romance Kit. Of course Isaac thinks her behavior was okay and reminds Kit that she's involved with a married man. There's a huge difference--Benjamin told Kit that he's married--Isaac never told Kit about her relationship. And let's not forget that cheating isn't okay to start with.

Next week: Jenny confronts Mark about taping everyone and Shane and Carmen find out. Dana and Alice go on a cruise and role play. Bette and Kit's dad comes to town for a visit.
