Episode 7

rainbow_thinline (2K)

Previously, on The L Word. . .

Helena is appearing to be rather controlling like Bette--no wonder Tina is attracted to her. Helena tells Tina that she talked to Tina's coworkers about taking care of the workshop so that Tina could go to San Diego with her and her kids.

Shane's boss is a freak. She threw stuff at her staff and then demanded that Shane stay with her and dragged her around to different places. Her boss demands that she get into bed to watch a movie with her but Shane tells her off and leaves--after taking a bottle of pills.

There were 2 Jenny writing scenes this week. Okay, I found this episode to be boring compared to the rest this season and one reason is that there was too much Jenny. It seemed like the writers focused a lot on her last season and it was nice to see that there was some focus on the other characters this season. Alice and Dana were in only 3 scenes this week (they had a party at the Planet to announce their relationship). I like those 2 characters because they are funny and more realistic. Plus with their new relationship, I would think there would be a lot to explore. I understand them. I don't understand Jenny and maybe that's why I don't really care for her character. But I digress. . .

Bette flirts with an artist who has a girlfriend and winds up inviting both to the Planet. Bette is "meat tagged" at the Planet and gets hit on by many women.

Helena's ex catches Tina and Helena in a compromising position. Helena's ex is pissed because Helena didn't return the kids like she was supposed to. They start arguing and Helena tries to keep Tina there and have Tina take her side.

Shane sees Carmen and Jenny all over each other at the Planet and leaves. Later, she walks in on them in the kitchen (Shane had brought 2 chicks home to "watch") and kills their mood.

The next day, Carmen basically hints to Jenny that she likes Shane but then they wind up in bed, slapping each other. Later, Carmen calls Shane out and tells her that she's not going to get away with treating people the way that she does anymore and that Shane can't handle it when someone likes her.

Tina realizes how Bette feels about the baby from talking to Helena. She winds up calling Bette to let her know that she can be a part of the baby's life.

Shane trips out on drugs and winds up calling Mark, who rescues her from getting beat up by 2 men.

Next week: Alice's ex and Dana's ex hook up. Helena's ex meets Bette. Shane says that Carmen is responsible for her getting beat up.
