Previously, on The L Word. . .
Kit and Benjamin (the motivational business speaker) hook up. He's married. Doesn't anyone on this show believe in the concept of monogamy?
Tina moves into an apartment. Bette visits to talk to her about wanting to be involved with the baby. I've got to agree with Bette--since Tina used the sperm that they selected together, it's her kid too. I didn't agree with her saying that she didn't "leave"--when she cheated on Tina, she left the relationship.
Mark suggests a threesome with Shane, Jenny, and Carmen to Shane and Jenny. He also hints about it to Carmen. Shane and Carmen flirt and Carmen starts flirting with Jenny when she sees Shane kissing another girl.
Alice tells Dana to break it off with Tonya because she doesn't want to sneak around. Dana says she will after her big tennis tournament and tells Alice that she wants to be with her.
Bette calls Tina for support when she discovers that she's getting screwed at work. Tina is supportive until Bette starts going off about Helena and asks Tina if she's sleeping with her. Bette starts going on about how Tina needs to stay away from Helena, etc. Tina points out that Bette is trying to control her and hangs up on her.
Alice and Shane go to Dana's tennis tournament. Alice gives Dana a script to use for breaking it off with Tonya. Both Dana and Shane tell Alice that the script is awful. Dana does break it off with Tonya, only to be told by Tonya that she's leaving Dana for Melissa Rivers. Dana is stunned at the turn of events--which puzzles me. She was cheating on Tonya with Alice and Tonya was obviously using Dana--not sure why she was so stunned. Maybe she realized that she was really naive about Tonya?
Mark hires a chick to deliver flowers to Shane, with the purpose of the delivery girl to hook up with Shane--which Mark films. Mark gives the delivery girl a copy of the tape and she tells him that she doesn't want him to use it in his film because she doesn't want to hurt Shane.
We have another Jenny writing sequence--this one made a little sense to me as in it, it's obvious that she sees that there's something going on with Carmen and Shane.
Bette goes to the business seminar with Kit and actually takes Benjamin's advice by going to Tina's with flowers. Tina isn't home though because she's hooking up with Helena in the hotel pool.
Alice, Dana, and Shane travel back from the tennis tournament with Alice and Dana having stunned looks on their faces and Shane is in the backseat cracking up.
Next week: Bette considers dating. There are problems with Helena and Tina because Helena's ex shows up. Shane gets in trouble.
