Previously, on The L Word. . .
While Bette is out of town in New York, Tina and her lawyer go to Bette's house to take inventory. Later on, the lawyer (Joyce) stops by the guest house, muching on sushi (which grossed me out becaus she sounded like a horse eating it), and was obviously flirting with Tina, although I don't think Tina realized it.
There's another Jenny writing clip. . .which I didn't get.
Shane and Jenny interview roommates and almost offer the room to a nudist. They immediately figure out the one gal is a schedule freak and they almost offer the place to a bible thumper who doesn't realize they're lesbians until Shane walks in and then starts offering information on becoming straight. They wind up offering the place to Mark, who is into filming everything, and who bugged them at first. But Mark was able to pay first and last month's rent, a deposit and 6 months' rent in cash.
Kit goes to a business seminar and there are a few sparks flying between her and the guy who is giving the seminar.
Bette is in New York to meet Helena Peabody, who is sleeping with her therapist. Bette is trying to get funding for the art museum. During the meeting with Helena, Helena's kids come running in and Bette tells Helena that "my partner and I are trying to start a family." She's talking like they're still together but winds up going to a club later and picking up this chick and taking her back to hotel room. The next morning Bette almost takes off her wedding ring.
While at work, Shane's boss overhears her (Shane) calling her (the boss) a "crazy bitch" to an actress who was being all drama queen and holding up production. The boss calls Shane into her trailer and offers her a job as her assistant.
Alice goes on a date with a guy who Tonya set her up with. I guess Alice didn't know for sure that it was a guy because the guy's name is Chris. They double with Tonya and Dana and Dana is not happy that Alice is flirting with the guy. Chris and Tonya go on another ride while Alice says she has to go to the loo and Dana follows her. Dana tells her that she didn't have to be flirting with the guy and Alices asks her what she wants from her and Dana responds by kissing her.
Tina puts a plant on Joyce's doorstep to show her appreciation for the help Joyce has given her. Well, Joyce comes over later and makes a move on Tina, who resists and winds up packing up her stuff and leaving the guest house.
Shane and Jenny have a party and Carmen is invited (for Jenny). Jenny's interested in Carmen but Carmen keeps watching Shane kiss another chick. Carmen winds up leaving early and the rest of them go swimming in Bette's pool. Mark, who is straight, asks Jenny is she's gay, she replies that she doesn't know. Mark says that she doesn't look gay, doesn't have the haircut (talk about stereotype), the attitude, etc. that says she's gay.
Later, Jenny asks Shane to cut her hair short.
Next week: Helena comes to town and gets friendly with Tina. Bette finds out that Tina is pregnant. Alice and Dana hook up. Mark plants cameras and spies on Shane and Jenny.
