Episode 3

rainbow_thinline (2K)

Previously, on The L Word. . .

Alice has a dream, make that a nightmare, about Tonya and her getting sexual. She wakes up almost screaming--not that I can say that I blame her.

Bette and Tina having a meeting with their lawyers and Tina's lawyer announces that this is a final separation and that what Bette and her lawyer are offering is a short-term solution. Bette gets down on her knees trying to beg Tina into not going through the separation.

Afterwards, Tina's lawyer says no contact with Bette, that Bette will wear Tina down until she gets what she wants. Tina's lawyer (Joyce) offers Tina the use of her guest house, as she puts her hand on Tina's knee. . .

Leaving the meeting, Bette runs a red light and crashes her car. She totally flips out at the guy she has hit.

Jenny gets shot down trying to get into the writing class. The instructor (as played by Sandra Bernhard) tells her to "become a writer" and that her writing is nothing more than journaling. Quite honestly, I find the little scenes acting out Jenny's writing annoying.

Shane moves in with Jenny and they're renting the house that Tim and Jenny once shared. Carmen stops over and tries to get to know Shane better by asking questions (about her family, etc.) and Shane's having none of it. She winds up getting up and telling Carmen that she's going out and that she doesn't like sleepovers.

Tonya wants to produce the first ever, corporate-sponsored, lesbian wedding (how romantic). She's actually taking a "manager's fee" from Dana's corporate account--which Dana is surprised to find out about. Dana asks Tonya if she is her fiancee or manager, to which Tonya replies, "Both." Again, how romantic. Alice tells Dana that she's marrying an endorsement slut (gotta love Alice--she calls them as she sees them:-)

Shane has a get together where Alice and Tonya trade barbs. Dana is sitting next to Tonya and doesn't look like she can stand to be touched by her (can't say that I blame her--now she just needs to get a back bone and kick Tonya to the curb). Bette shows up rather buzzed and says she's invited herself since no one else does. She and Alice trade barbs and then Alice and Dana start trading barbs. Tonya starts picking up that something is going on between Alice and Dana.

Bette gets totally drunk and has to be carried home by Shane and Alice. Alice tells Tina that Bette is smoking and drinking herself to death and points out to Tina that Tina is eating her pain. Tina says she's not but Alice points out her weight gain. Tina informs Alice that she's pregnant and to not tell anyone.

The Planet reopens with a big party. Everyone is there except for Tina, who goes to the house to get more stuff since she knows Bette will be gone. She straightens things out and then gets to snooping on Bette's computer, where she finds an e-mail from Candance with an attachment--a picture of Bette and Candance in bed. Tina leaves the computer with the picture displayed.

At the party, Carmen sees Shane kissing another woman. Shane gets finished flirting around and comes looking for Carmen, only to see her kissing Jenny.

Alice finds herself dancing with Tonya, who tells Alice that she finally understands what's going on--that Alice is upset that Tonya came in and took Dana away from her. She's getting warmer. . .

Bette comes home from the party and sees that Tina has discovered the picture of her and Candance. She winds up floating in the pool with her clothes on.

Next week: Tina and her lawyer kiss. Tonya sets Alice up with a guy and Dana gets jealous.
