Previously, on The L Word. . .
Tina sees a lawyer, who suggests that whether or not Tina and Bette get back together, that Tina needs to get her autonomy back. Shane didn't think Alice should have recommended the lawyer to Tina and Bette had words with Alice and told her not to cross the line again. We also find out during the exchange between Alice and Bette, that they had dated 6 weeks and that it was Bette who broke it off.
Bette is calling around trying to find a house for Tina to rent and is thinking that it will be a short-term thing. So nice of her to try and control the situation.
The Planet is closed and the girls, particularly Shane, do not know how to order coffee at the other coffee shops. But Dayna's weirdo financee, Tanya, comes to the rescue. Tanya also orders for Dayna because Dayna "likes what she (Tanya) likes, wants what she (Tanya) wants more than what she (Dayna) wants." What Dayna sees in her, I do not know.
Tanya and Dayna talk to Dayna's parents because they want their blessing on their wedding. Tayna does most of the talking and does so some good as Dayna's parents do come around.
Kit needs $50k in order to buy The Planet. She goes to talk to Ivan, who is the only person she knows who has that kind of change, but Ivan's not around at her garage. Kit finally tracks her down and Ivan really doesn't want to talk but agrees to look over her business plan. She does come through for Kit, gives her a cashier's check for $50k and says that she'll be a silent business partner and that's all that will be between them.
In meeting with Marina's "dad," Bette and Kit find out that the man they thought is Marina's dad is actually her husband of 12 years. Now keep in mind, she was also in a long term open relationship with another woman and apparently, her relationship with her husband was also an open relationship as he lashed out at Bette for judging Marina (Bette had said something to her about messing around with Jenny).
Shane apologizes to Carmen for being an ass and tells her that she doesn't want anything but sex. Carmen agrees to that.
Alice and Dayna meet for coffee and Alice asks Dayna if Tayna knows. Of course Tayna doesn't and is out of town. Alice asks why they just couldn't have met at Dayna's house like old times but is reminded that it would be against the rules.
The girls decide to take Tina to a strip club for a lap dance to cheer her up. They go out to eat first and Bette stops in the restaurant to pick up some carry out and see them all there and gets upset. Shane runs out to comfort her.
During dinner, Shane picks up from Alice's remarks and Dayna's looks that there is something going on between them. At the strip club, Alice and Dayna bump into each other in the bathroom and Alice reminds her that it's against the rules. They almost kiss but then Tayna comes busting in. That would have been interesting to see them get caught.
Shane confronts Alice about what's going on between her and Dayna and Alice confesses that they did kiss.
As of now, no one knows that Tina is pregnant but at the strip club, Shane asks Alice if she notices anything about "her" (I took it that Shane meant Tina, Alice took it as Shane meaning the gal who was giving Tina the lap dance). I think Shane might be the first one to notice that Tina is pregnant.
Jenny is looking for a roommate to share, what I guess is Tim's old house (I was under the impression that she was going to look elsewhere because she couldn't afford the rent). Shane tells her that they need to talk so it's looking like they will be roommates.
Next time: Alice tells Dayna that Tanya has her brainwashed and we see what could be a lightbulb clicking in Dayna. Bette and Tina talk final separation with lawyers. Bette loses it. Shane tells Carmen that she doesn't do sleepovers.
