The ancient spiral sign was first discovered carved in rock walls around 3500 B.C.

A person starts at the outer edge and travels counterclockwise and inward on life's journey. There are many encounters as you travel the pathway until you arrive at the center of the spiral, a place signifying spiritual completeness.

Later, the spiral was used as a female sign to represent the center, the balance, the place of birth, and the beginnings of all things.

Recently, Dr. Don Beck has created and been studying and implementing Spiral Dynamics. It is a Never-Ending Upward Quest towards personal and global interventions, change and transformation towards inclusiveness.

Being on a spiral journey is necessary for human transformation and global reconciliation.

The spiral is an ancient symbol reflecting universal patterns of growth and evolution. The living spiral does not begin or end, it is an ongoing process of innocence, discovery, community involvement and the essence that connects all things.

We chose the ancient female symbol and combined it with the modern day female symbol to offer a way of being identified in our society without outing anybody.
