I wanna shout it from the mountain tops

But they will only throw their stones at us

How can they make it something ugly

When it’s so beautiful to me

Why do they think it’s so wrong

Why can’t people just get along

Or just leave us alone

We’re not hurting anyone
You went and told your mom and dad
You were surprised when they got mad
And of coarse they want to blame it on me
It’s not who they raised you to be

There was your boss in the parking lot
He saw us kissing when I dropped you off
It only took a couple days or so
He found a reason to let you go

Someone painted words on your new truck
Complete strangers wanna beat us up
This hateful world is so corrupt
