It Makes Me Cry
It makes me cry
when i think about it
tears well up in my eyes
I always thought I was so tuff
but now I realize
so many people suffering
collapsed my concrete sides
and when i think about it i just cry
things like the murrah building in OKC
that one hit a little too close to me
then the twin towers in new york city
now our loved ones are dying in the middle east
and it makes me cry.....
Then there are the things that are natures wrath
Tsunami's and hurricanes that take whole towns in their path
so many bodies laying round they can't keep up with the math
A horrible moment in time, and we know this time will pass
and it makes me cry.........
should I turn off my tv set
disconnect my internet
never read another gazzette
ignore the world and just forget
stay home and worry about me
and only my own realities???
cause it makes me cry.........
