pull out your old peace signs
they're all meeting downtown
once again it's marching time
the govt. is trying to pull that old wool over our eyes
and sending our loved ones off to die
toss your wwjd bracelet in the drawer
you wear a new pin says "I'm all for war"
when your soldiers tour of duty's done,
they'll make them fight some more
with stop loss they'll draft them
through the back door
Iraq was not responsible for 911
and Osama wasn't in cahoots with old Saddam
they found no weapons of mass destruction
everything about this war turned out wrong
they got caught in their mistake and so suddenly
they say they are there to set Iraqi's free
they maybe foolin you, but they're not foolin me
I can't believe so many bought into this stupidity
Now our president is pushing to take away our civil rights
he is prejudice and bigoted and starting religious fights
the patriot act stole our legal rights overnight
if you live your life with blinders on you'll never see the light
somebody's gotta stand up and say this isn't right
even Jane Fonda is takin back up the fight
so come on all you hippies, it's time to reunite
bring your old peace signs, there's a candle vigil tonight.
