For the Kids
It happens all around the world,
a strong love between two girls.
so they become each others wife
they want a family and a happy life.
The couple find a clinic or friend to concede,
someone to offer them donated seed.
she even does the insimination
that is the cause of the childs creation.
She is nonbiomom her child calls "deedee"
she provides love and support for her new baby.
Then many years later babies parents split up,
and baby is ripped from the deedee she loves.
Who will speak for the rainbow kids?
the union they came from is invalid,
or the adoption papers their parents hold,
the state now says are null and void.
Then Mommies new girlfriend rudely steps in
tells deedee you won't ever see baby again
so deedee goes to plead with the courts,
who sternly tell her the babies not yours.
Who will speak for the rainbow kids?
Is there no court to bring them justice?
when children are ripped from a parents arms
it can leave kids with emotional scars.
Joey and Steve foster a son
tutor him in math and take him fishin
they were all excited about an adoption
but the state said for you, thats not an option.
Who will speak for the rainbow kids?
born with a legal disadvantage
raised by parents that can't exist
cause hateful people don't accept it.
Who will speak for the rainbow kids?
who will be their advocates?
these kids are Here NOW and growing each day
How can our society turn them away???
