Foods for a Healthy Heart

  1. Oat bran, oatmeal, beans, peas, rice bran, barley, citrus fruit, strawberries, apple pulp.
  2. Whole wheat bread, wheat cereal, wheat bran, cabbage, beets, carrots, brussel sprouts, turnips, cauliflower
  3. Lean chicken, turkey, pork and beef without the skin
  4. Nuts and seeds
  5. Cook with canola oil
  6. Pomegranate juice is high in antioxidants and it helps break up the "bad" cholesterol
  7. Limit coffee consumption to 2 cups a day
