B Vitamins: Take a high-potency B-Complex supplement with 400 to 800 mcg of folic acid and at least 10 mg of vitamins B1 and B3.
Energy-Enhancing Nutrients: Take 50 to 100 mg of CoQ10, 50 to 200 mg of alpha-lipoic acid, 500 mg of carnitine, and 1,000 mg of ribose.
Antioxidants: To keep it simple, take an antioxidant combination formula with 400 IU of vitamin E, at least 500 mg of vitamin C, 200 mcg of selenium, 10 mg of cartenoids, and 100 mg of flavoniods.
Diet: Diets high in sugars and refined carbohydrates generate excess free radicals. Such diets also elevate some hormones, such as insulin and cortisol, which accelerate the aging process. So emphasize nonstarchy vegetables, fish and chicken, while cutting on sweets, breads, pastas, pizzas and soft drinks.
