Looking for something new and different to do this spring and summer? Tired of the same ol', same ol'? Then check out the OKCLesbian Yahoo Group. There are over 100 women in there and we've had such activities as a music jam night, dinners, fun and games at Incredible Pizza, and meeting up at Partner's for the Professional Women's evening. We're open to new ideas and definitely open to new people joining us.
New people are always welcomed and believe me, once you join in, you won't feel like a new person for very long:-)
We here at okclesbian are looking for columnists. You DO NOT have to have a journalism degree or experience--just the interest and desire. We are looking for both regular columnists (publish weekly, bi-weekly or monthly) and guest columnists.
A couple of the areas that we realize we need to have covered include political events/issues and we desparately need to hear from some of the younger lesbians out there (high school and college ages). If you have other suggestions, PLEASE TELL US! This web site is for YOU and your input is needed.
Although we call ourselves okclesbian and primarily represent Oklahoma City and surrounding areas, we know we have people coming from all over. Please don't think that just because you're not from OKC, you cannot write for us. We think it would be awesome if we had a columnist in each of the 50 states and hey, who says we have to stop there?
Please note that this is a non-paying position (check the terms for more information). For your time, you get rewarded with knowing that your time and effort is going to have a positive impact on the lesbian community.
